I'm Dawn!
I picked up my first DSLR camera in 2010. I took more than 10,000 photos that year and I haven't slowed down since.
Photography is something I share with my father, who instilled in me a love of nature, from an early age. We didn't rest much when we were kids; our parents always had us hiking, swimming, boating, skiing, biking. Adventuring is part of my DNA, and I'm so pleased to continue that tradition with my son.
We live in the incomparable Newfoundland and Labrador, on the west coast of the island. We have access to world class facilities, and a vast backcountry, rife with opportunity. Come along for the journey, and we'll see where it takes us!
Four Season Photography.
We love the outdoors - in all four seasons. Be it sunny and warm, cold and stormy, wet and messy... we're there and loving it!
Life is messy and the more stormy and challenging the terrain, the better! Storms can produce the most amazing photographic opportunities.
At an average 400cm per year, the west coast of Newfoundland has the highest annual accumulations of snow of any city in Canada - even more than the Rockies!
